ST. LAWRENCE MARKET TEMPORARY TENT
Lower Jarvis Street & The Esplanade
Every Sunday from sunrise to early afternoon, the St. Lawrence Market temporary tent at Esplanade and Lower Jarvis is transformed into every treasure hunters dream. Filled with a plethora of vintage finds, over 40 vendors come together weekly, offering curious shoppers one-of-a-kind scores.
If you’ve driven past the market on any given Sunday, you would have seen hustle and bustle of shoppers spilling onto the sidewalk surrounding the tent. Furniture, rugs and salvaged treasures line the streets before your even walk through the doors.
As you enter the building you are greeted by tables upon tables covered with collectibles and reclaimed goodies. Some vendors specialize in silverware, art or china while others seem to have a variety of knick knacks they have collected on their journey.
If you’re a savvy Interior Designer or DIYer looking for that perfect piece, you’ll find typewriters, light fixtures, book shelves, lamps, maps, paintings and vases. And if you’re just out to kill some time maybe the vintage fine jewellery, stopwatches, handbags, miniature cola bottles or duck decoys will catch your eye.
For all those ventriloquists out there, your dummy awaits you here at the Sunday Antique Market.
